About Denise Wolf —
Psychotherapist in Ibiza
I’m Denise -
an English and German speaking psychotherapist based in Sant Josep, Ibiza.
I work with expats, and individuals navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, life transitions, and the unique challenges that come with building a life far from home. Whether you’re dealing with the emotional weight of relocation, adjusting to parenthood, processing relationship changes, or simply feeling unsteady and unsure of your next step — therapy can be a space to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with yourself.
I offer both in-person sessions at my practice in Ibiza and online therapy sessions for clients worldwide. Sessions are available in English and German.
This curiosity led me to study psychotherapy science at Sigmund Freud University in Vienna, where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Over the years, I’ve trained in various approaches, including Psychodynamic Imaginative Trauma Therapy (PITT), Mindful Self-Compassion, and Operationalised Psychodynamic Diagnosis (OPD).
I also work with Individual Psychology theory, founded by Alfred Adler, which emphasizes understanding each person within their social context — a perspective that deeply informs my therapeutic approach.
Whether you are navigating a relocation, becoming a parent, shifting relationships, grieving a loss, or simply seeking to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can be a gentle and supportive space to slow down, reflect, and find steadiness in the midst of change.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your therapy journey.
I’m here to guide, support and encourage you through your psychotherapy journey. Through listening and questioning, I want you to become curious about what is making you think, feel and act the way you do. I want you to see more clearly how different life-events are associated with the way you feel and react.
Where it began
My journey as a psychotherapist began over 15 years ago in Vienna — the birthplace of psychotherapy itself. I studied Psychotherapy Science at Sigmund Freud University, earning both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. During my studies, I trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and worked in the university’s public clinic, an experience that deepened my commitment to making therapy accessible and meaningful.
Where that led me
I was drawn to Alfred Adler’s Individual Psychology — an approach that sees each person within the full context of their life: their relationships, social environment, and personal history. This perspective shapes everything I do in the therapy room. I also trained in Psychodynamic Imaginative Trauma Therapy (PITT), Mindful Self-Compassion, and Operationalised Psychodynamic Diagnosis (OPD), giving me a range of tools to support clients with anxiety, burnout, trauma, and life transitions.
Where I am now
Today, my psychotherapy practice is based in Sant Josep on the beautiful island of Ibiza. I work with a diverse community of expats, residents, and online clients from around the world — many of whom are navigating the joys and challenges of living abroad. I offer in-person therapy at my Ibiza practice and online therapy sessions in both English and German.

I am a qualified psychotherapist with university-level training from Vienna, Austria, and ongoing professional development in trauma therapy, self-compassion, and psychodynamic approaches.
